Snowvasion-The Origin of Skiing

Skiing is a recreational activity and a healthy sport that involves travelling on the top of snow with the help of skies. A ski is a narrow strip of wood or any hard material which is worn underfoot to glide over snow, sand or water. They were originally invented to travel over the snow when it is very difficult to walk on it. It was invented and used hundreds of years ago in Norway where snow made it difficult to travel in that area.

People used wood strips and tied them under their shoes to walk to the snow. It was then made a sport and skies started to get common among sportsmen. Snowvasion represents skies in various designs and types. Now people use them for various purposes. Other than the sport, this is one of the favorite recreational activities that people love. People from all over the world specially visit the snowy areas where they can enjoy skiing. Ski Trips are organized in different snowy areas in a specific season where different people enjoy skiing in the presence of special trainers.

Some people get special trainings and become expert in this. They choose skiing as their profession and earn this. They either become stunt men in skiing or acquire the profession of teaching the skills of skiing in various ski trips, sports clubs, schools and summer camps. Other than binding to the feet, skies are also attached to the vehicles that travel on the snow like snow carts. Snow cart is the major attraction while you are out on your Ski trip. That also works on the same principle of attaching metallic, wooden or plastic strips at their bottom.

The first recreational ski club was formed in Australia where first international downhill carnival was also held. This carnival displayed a number of people skiing on the rough patterns made out of snow. It also included moving up and down the snowy hill. This encouraged many sportsmen who practiced and learned skiing techniques for a long time. This laid the foundation of the international skiing competitions and races where skiers form all the parts of world come and compete with each and other to prove them best at travelling on snow. Every year various competitions are organized at various levels and heavy prize money is awarded to the winners by snowvasion. People perform certain dangerous tasks as well which can lead to serious injuries even death if they are not trained enough. Later on, skiing became popular in ski trips and many other activities.
